About Us:  

Workforce Collective is a community-focused, collaborative not-for-profit organization that works in partnership in Niagara, Ontario and beyond to address workforce challenges, find solutions and provide insights to improve planning and decision making. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where mutual support and collaboration thrive.  While much of our work is focused on community building within Niagara, we also work across Ontario and Canada in exploring employment and workforce systems and the ways that community service providers, educators, municipalities, and business can work together to create healthy workforces and workplaces. Over the past 5 years, we have evolved our organization to model decent work practices that reflect our work.  

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Director to take our organization into the next phase of fulfilling our mission and strategic goals. The Executive Director will provide vision, direction, and oversight to ensure the organization operates effectively and sustainably. This role requires a community-minded leader who values collaboration, fosters a workplace culture that is outcome driven and champions teamwork. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff and community stakeholders to further our mission and strengthen our impact.  

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision to advance Workforce Collective’s mission and vision. 
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring effective project delivery, performance evaluation and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.  
  • Foster a culture of mutual support and collaboration among staff and project partners 
  • Lead efforts to secure funding through grants and fee for service activities ensuring financial sustainability and growth.  
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, government officials, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and advocacy for workforce initiatives.  
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to support effective organizational governance and support board development initiatives.  
  • Serve as a primary spokesperson and representative for the organization within Niagara and beyond.  
  • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, adjusting as needed to improve impact. 
  • Promote a healthy workplace and advocate staff wellness and development.  

We are looking for someone who:  

  • Is educated at bachelor’s degree level (post-graduate degree in relevant field is preferred). 
  • Has a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in not-for-profit management, workforce development or related fields. 
  • Understands non-profit financial strategies. 
  • Can demonstrate a track record in program or project development and implementation.  
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Has a proven ability to build relationships across a diverse range of external partners and collaborators. 
  • Has a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. 
  • Has ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.  

What we are offering: 

  • A salary in the range of $90,000-$100,000
