Skilled & Non-Skilled Trade Placements

High school students will take part in a job placement to learn aspects of a job. Students will earn between 1 and 4 high school credits during the semester. This can be in a skilled trade placement or non-skilled trade placement. If the employer wishes, they can sponsor the student for OYAP (Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program) if in a skilled trade placement. Students are typically unpaid and the contract can be cancelled at any time by the school or the employer. We try our best to keep all students in their placement for the entire semester. A Work Education Agreement is filled out for the student and employer to include job parameters and work schedules. This is a beneficial experience for both parties.

✅ Sept – Jan & Feb – June placement times
✅ Half Day & Full Day Opportunities
✅ Can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid based on need
✅Work hours can be flexible based on your needs
