Real World Work Experience
Niagara Catholic students engage in a variety of cooperative education placements as they explore workplace, college, apprenticeship, and university pathways in half day or full day experiences. Grade 11 and 12 students benefit tremendously while learning from industry mentors who provide real world learning and employment opportunities, including within the skilled trades. Students at placement are supported by Niagara Catholic Cooperative Education Teachers, who work to ensure a positive experience for all participants. Placements often lead to employment, offering a unique training and hiring pathway for employers. Niagara Catholic also invites employers to engage with our schools for workshops and to provide insight through speaking engagement or facility tours.
