
Niagara College has a variety of co-operative education programs (in the business, trades, media, environment, horticulture, technology, hospitality and tourism fields). Co-ops are paid, career-related work experience that offer on-the-job experience for students and employers having the opportunity to work with new talent for peak seasons, staff coverage, special projects, etc.
In addition to co-op, Research and Innovation (R&I) at Niagara College, conducts projects that provide innovative solutions, such as producing and testing prototypes, evaluating new technologies, and developing new or improved products or processes for small- and medium-sized businesses. With funding support from various regional, provincial, and federal agencies, students and graduates are hired to work alongside faculty researchers to assist industry partners leap forward in the marketplace.
