This project builds on research we have conducted over the past two years. Annual trends show that while women’s employment has been recovering, women’s employment for 2021 has not reached 2019 levels. We also see that the number of women reporting that they are not in the labour force is higher than before the pandemic.
We’re currently identifying local initiatives that support women’s employment and labour force participation. NWPB’s goal is to provide local community initiatives to help promote sustainable and predictable employment opportunities.
For information on what these labour market indicators mean, please see our LMI Definitions page.
We are collecting data to better understand who is looking for work and what kind of opportunities jobseekers are searching for. This data is completely anonymous and non-personally identifiable.
