Ruth Unrau is a lifelong resident of Niagara, Ontario. She hosts a weekly show, Niagara Made, on 610CKTB Talk Radio where she interviews local entrepreneurs and business owners about their successes and challenges. Ruth’s interest in labour force development and entrepreneurship goes back many years and started with her work for the Federal government. After leaving the government, Ruth started her own business as a coach/consultant and works with entrepreneurs and leaders in business and the community.
Since then, she has assisted with 1000+ new and emerging businesses through planning, start-up and growth phase. Ruth is also an accomplished public speaker, and has worked with several high-profile Niagara based events as an emcee and interviewer.
Ruth is an active volunteer, believing that strong communities are built by those who express their ideas, get involved, and take action. In addition to becoming a director with Workforce Collective, Ruth is currently the Chair of the Pathstone Foundation Board, and is the co-founder of Women in Niagara – a strong voice for women in business in Niagara.
