Immigrant Employment Council

Home Our WorkProjects Immigrant Employment Council

Workforce Collective is home to Niagara’s Immigrant Employment Council. We’re part of a national Network of Immigrant Employment Councils that offers solutions, tools and resources to help employers attract, hire, train and retain newcomer talent.

We help employers – business owners, HR personnel and people leaders:

  • connect with newcomers who are seeking jobs through the local service providers that support them and
  • become the best workplaces they can be for the workforce of incoming new Canadians and everyone else adapting to a more globalized world.

Visit the Immigrant Employment Councils of Canada resource portal at iecc.network/resources for information, tools and online courses related to recruiting and onboarding newcomers, intercultural intelligence, DEI strategy, and more!

Feedback Channels Project

We’re hosting regular forums to explore challenges & solutions related to immigrant employment. This project is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and engages employers and other system actors to better integrate newcomers and immigrants into our local/national workforce.
