With a general B.A. degree majoring in Business Administration and a Post Diploma Certification in Non-Profit and Association Executive Management; Lori has over 25 years’ experience in Director and Management roles in the not-for-profit sector, government agencies, provincial and national associations. Helping others to build personal capacity is her cause of choice and has been an essential component in all of her work in social service sectors such as workforce development education and training, youth employment, immigration and newcomer settlement services, mental health, poverty reduction, food security, homelessness prevention and community housing.
For the past 8 years, she has held the position of Executive Director at Bethlehem Housing and Support Services, one of the largest non-profit housing organizations in the Niagara Region. She holds positions in the community as Chair of the Niagara Region Home for All – Housing Affordability Innovation Committee and a member of the Niagara Region Housing and Homelessness Community Advisory Board and Task Force Committee; Co-Chair for the GNCC Non-Profit Council; and a founding member of the leadership consortium involved in the provincial roll-out of RentSmart Ontario and Ready to Rent Tenant/Landlord Education program for eviction prevention.
Lori is the 2019 Women in Niagara Business Awards recipient for the category of Community Impact recognizing her leadership work in innovative affordable housing development resulting in the 127 unit building at 111 Church Street in St. Catharines.
