In the autumn of 2019, NWPB undertook a comprehensive study of in-demand skilled trades in the Niagara region. We paired a hundred employer interviews with job demand data and employment statistics to produce a list of in-demand skilled trades.
Although COVID-19 has introduced an unprecedented shock to the local and national economy, we believe this report captures ever-green skills and insights that we can update through ongoing dialogue with local employers of skilled tradespeople. View the results of the study below:
